Going, going going, going gon…

Telebid is kind of a Ghetto eBay that looks like is meant to be fun. This is a facade at least it is to the hundreds who will never win a thing. First of all you must register and buy credits in order to ‘bid’ each bid costs 50p or $1 and there is a timer, each time someone places a bid the amount goes up by 7 pence. I sat and watched this fun site for about 1 hour to see if anyone actually won anything, well they didn’t suffice to say. The timer just kept going up by 30 seconds or more each time.

“I lost £50 on this site and not convinced that this is quite legit, got to thinking how many stooges are out there bumping up the price with bids? theres no way of telling if any of the bidders are workers for telebid. after that thought i packed up my wallet and walked away.” Notes one lucky punter…

The model relies on a few things to work: Greed, bargain hunters, traffic, would be the main ones I would have thought. The thing is though, who knows whether the software is auto bidding based on rules? Maybe it can afford to lose so much if it makes across the board? Also note that an item that cost £100 retail 100 clicks at 50p, and sold for £65 would bring profit for the company. And this is an understatement some hi-ticket items bring 600 clicks or more.

Caveat emptor.

Probably I was lucky but I found this website this morning, looking for a cheap IPOD Touch, and I bought the minimum clicks (10 GBP).. I looked the many offered and choosed one which was going to expiry, after 11 clicks I won the item for 45£… total spent 55£ for a brand new IPod Touch… maybe I was only lucky (after I tried to win another couple of things but I didn’t)… so I think it’s only about lucky… obviously as every betting site or place you have to decide previously how much would you like to spend betting… or you can waste money for nothing!!!
