I’m not really sure how this bank has any customers, having been with them for over 10 years, it is almost like I’ve been a customer for 2 weeks. I’ve decided to close all my Barclays accounts the reason being is they are shit. They are shit at customer service and supporting businesses. One time I had some fraudulent idiot send money for some products sold on eBay and then Barclays blaimed me and sent letters about closing my account. Not once during this did they communicate anything, they just sent a letter. They have too many departments, and you are sent back and forth between them. They have no customer lifetime value models, and view everything in a very black and white sense. Maybe I just dislike banks in general? But Barclays f’ing suck. I’d advise anyone thinking of opening an account with them to look elsewhere. Also their online banking sucks, they send you some stupid calculator device that you have to carry with you everywhere - frustrating. Local business managers are clueless, under-trained and under-educated. I hate that stupid liver bird also and the font they use in the branding - it screams “old fashioned banking tossers” - gah get me out of here!
