Fair play to Google
By admin | Posted in Google | No CommentsGave me my Page Rank back, which took about 12 months to originally get. I told them I had sold some links and bought some through an agency, I have added no follow tags to a couple of links which I sold not based on Page Rank, but because my site got a decent amount of traffic and it would contribute to revenue. I never had any intention of passing on Page Rank, not that easy, as I had worked for it. I do buy adwords periodically, but rely a lot on Google traffic. When I got slapped with a penalty I went from 40k UV’s to about 15k, which affected my income. Google is trying to keep the results spam free and I have helped them by submitting spamming sites. I think what they should do is publish a proper ‘white hat’ resource document, which details what not to do, how you can help combat spam, and also how you can prevent getting your site penalised. There is a document of sorts to follow here: Guidelines
The problem is for a lot of young seo’s or webmasters is they don’t often know how or what Google wants.
