Great post by a chap over at this site which shows how even small buisiness owners can game Google. The site in quesiton comes out top for “ink cartridge”, and has tons of links hidden in mywebstats free counters - invisible to the eye, but viewable when you view the page source. This is one of tons of sites that link to the UK store, horrible looking site all garish and bright green, looks really spammy and is really er spammy.

Matt Cutts and Google like to talk about paid links and spam, but I don’t see much happening, even reporting has NO EFFECT, I’ve done it before.
