Google frowns at the little guy but smiles at the big corps?

Some example of how Google possibly has double standards which shows that HP are spamming their way to the top of the serps, but little guys like me and others get wacked. Are Google becoming more evil, in my opinion the lack of clarity doesn’t help. I mean of course people want to rank high on Google as it has become ubiquitous in search. I have some good traffic coming through the other two: Yahoo and Msn, but Google is my bread & butter.
