Google using coercionary tactics? Never…
By admin | Posted in Google | No CommentsI was under the impression Google had a do no evil mantra. Well check this email I received from Robert at Google Checkout:
Hello,
Your account with Google is important to us and we appreciate your business. Unfortunately, there is a serious past-due balance that must be paid or otherwise resolved immediately. We have had no response to previous correspondence sent to you about this matter.
Our preference is to maintain a satisfactory business relationship with you, and would appreciate any assistance you could offer in getting this open balance cleared.
Should your balance remain unresolved or should we not receive a reply from you within the next 5 days, we will escalate your file to our partnering collections agency. Please note that if you are also an AdWords advertiser/AdSense publisher, in order to avoid potential action on these related Google advertising accounts, your response and payment is necessary.
We appreciate your attention to this issue and look forward to your response.
Kind regards,
Robert

So basically the bastard is using extortionary or coercion tactics in order to ellicit an outstanding debt on my Google Checkout account? But what happened to Google keeping x amount of my money for x amount of time earning x amount of interest off? They never clear the amount the owe me at all, they always owe me money.

Atora Beef Suet - Recipe Jam Rolly Polly? Postponed! Contained worms!
By admin | Posted in Random Crappy Category | 1 Comment so farWell I felt like making some good old Jam Rolly Polly - a traditional English desert made with self raising flour and beef suet.
You can see the dish here:

Looks good doesn’t it? It is you serve it with custard and when properly its delicious.
This was my intention, and to make it I needed self raising flour and some beef suet, so I went to Tesco and bought a packet of beef suet from Atora

So what did i get when I opened it up?
This shit:
The whole thing was disgusting, and had larvae inside the packet with one worm type maggot thing crawling around oblivious to me opening it up. There was basically a colony of stuff breading in there with web type constructions housing waiting to be hatched insects. The white inner packet also had holes in it. The outer box was sealed with the glue. Having had a look more critically it seems the packaging is a bit poor. But The bugs came from within - so must have been in the suet, as no external damage to the packet had occured. However a cheap cardboard box could be replaced with a plastic type bag or foil, maybe with a resealable zip. Their packaging seems old though.
Anyway I’m not here to suggest more advanced packaging which doesn’t let in bugs and maggoty worm things. Imagine if I’d digested this shit before those bugs would have hatched?! For sure I won’t be buying any Atora product again!

Bingo Sites
By admin | Posted in Rant | No CommentsWhat the hell is it with swathes of go-damn bingo sites in the UK? I’m sure I didn’t notice any bingo sites a couple of years ago, now a new one pops up every other week. How the hell do these muppets acheive any sort of differention I do not know? I saw one with midgets on im sure of it! You can also tell the ones with the biggest budgets as they don’t have hyphened domain names unlike us
What is it with bingo anyway? And why are most of the people in their adverts on tv women? Sad lonely moronic women with nothing better to do other than blow all her benefits on go-damn bingo sites? waa waa wee waa!
You think in a credit crunch (named cleverly after some Ben & Jerry’s ice cream rather than calling it a recession) these sites would suffer? I think the UK of the future will be people living in boring subarbs doing nothing more than work, home eat, bingo, sleep. Rinse repeat for 50 years.
We’re sorry… … but your query looks similar to automated requests from a computer virus or spyware application.

This is pissing me the hell off, I’m trying to find sites with a certain term in the page, and Google in all their infinate wisdom shows me this after looking on about 3 pages of its serp results. So far the only way to stop it is either go though a Proxy or anonymiser or clear cookies and reboot your router every 10 mins to stop the idiots spying on you lol.
If anyone knows how to stop that inane message then fire away with comments.
