MoneyBookers verification problems? Does it suck?
‘MoneyBookers – We take your cash and keep it and piss you off with crap…’
MoneyBookers sucks or more aptly titled ‘MoneyFuckers’, hehe – sucks when it comes to withdrawing money and verifying your account. Firstly their stupid verification code does not work, you have to do it manually, so basically you pay these clowns to do a test withdrawal for nothing, they charge an x percentage commission, and then tell you ‘invalid code’.
Now I have to upload a bunch of crap, and spend more time trying to withdraw some funds. And to top off a frustrating brief period using them, you can’t reply to their ticketing system for email support as it is always no-reply@monebookers.com, you have to keep going back and using the most inane messaging system probably since err… pigeon mail, and work your way through a hierarchy of ‘does this fucking annoying question/answer, answer your question?’ type system, to get to their email form. I just blantantly clicked through it all to get to some crappy form.
What kind of crap is this though? IT systems should improve not frustrate, they should simplify not confuse. I’ve spent over a week waiting for this stupid code which ended in WIRE, with a bunch of alphanumeric characters, for it not to work at all! I might upload a picture of my ass see if they will verify it against their database of asses.
Edit: I managed to get the code by the bank transaction ID that they provide to the bank, it wasn’t the one provided next to the transaction and it is called a VRF code, which is then followed by a 6 digit alphanumeric number. Job Done.
I would still prefer to use MoneyBookers than the son of Satan that is PayPal

Embed a Map
Local businesses can now use mapping technology in order to put maps on their own sites and embed a map on your website as seen here in these embedded maps. Some good maps are listed here, Google maps look very pretty, Find maps with business names Here at this local search website. I didn’t find the mapquest much use even though their maps look nice, embedding them was a pain.

This blog talks about Genieknows maps in general and asks the question “Are embedded maps key to local search success?”

The Wireless Future…
Imagine a future with no wires or cables. A seamless digital world without the mess of wires and cables. It is on the horizon. Even now though things that are supposed to be wireless are still wired, such as wireless mice, as you still have to connect the wireless receiver part to the computer via a cable. When moving things around or moving to a new home things are often placed around based on cable length. How long will it be before we look with astonishment in museums at how humans used to live with cables, you can picture it now:
“Look Johnny theres a kettle with a plug and wires”.
I can’t wait for this day. My whole floor is clutered with cables, as much as I try to hide them, they are still there like unwanted dead pet snakes on the wooden floor.
I have tried to go “wireless”, the mouse is wireless for a start. The current problem is wireless isn’t exactly wireless in most cases. Wireless networking equiment is still plugged in with a cable, wireless headset for gaming is still plugged into the PC with a cable. I think we might be moving towards a “reduced wired society” before we actually go completely wireless. Some concept homes are moving towards this ideal, such as the Ipad in Dubai, this is expensive though, all the cables are at least hidden and everything runs of a powerful server, so your home is computerized.
