Google involved in piracy scandal!

Hollywood rises against illegal distribution of movies in China with the participation of Google. Six American movie companies have brought an accusation and request amount of $1,000,000 for violation of copyright against Chinese company Xunlei Networking Technology (partially owned by Google) which offer services for files sharing. The claimant wants public recognition of caused damages in addition of promise for abstention from violation in the scope of copyright. Xunlei has facilitated illegal downloads of hundreds of Hollywood movies produced by Motion pictures Association. Among them is “Spiderman 3″, “War of the worlds”, and “Miami Vice”. In the beginning of 2007 Google announced they had bought Xunley but did not reveal the size of share obtained or other financial details.
