Well now you can courtesy of US based company Crosslink. The lighting can be crushed and still remain illuminated as seen in the photo we provided. The application of such lighting technology is currently being used by US military in field tents. “Short deployment times and the ability to pack up and quickly relocate are essential to effective military operations. Soft-walled tents are a key element of base camps. Currently, traditional soft-walled tents require extensive setup, partially due to the ruggedized fluorescent lighting systems they require.”

The applicational usage is wide according to Crosslink. Named SuperFlexâ„¢ the material is lightweight, flexible, bright, cool and strong. This application is currently under development with the U.S. Army Soldier Systems Center in Natick, Massachusetts.
