Stupid YouTube bug - Invalid Parameters

By admin | Posted in Web 2.0 | 17 Comments so far

YouTube has this really annoying bug when trying to login with a pointless error message that says simply “Invalid Parameters”.

I get this after trying to login when wanting to comment on a video. If I do manage to get it to work I can’t use the browsers back button to go back to the video I was just on as it will log me back out lol, you think their engineers would have noticed this lame bug.

The Invalid Parameter bug still isn’t fixed. I’m sure why or how it occurs, only way around it is to login wherever you can then remember the title of the video you were watching, and type it in the search bar. :s

youtube has turned into bootube. boooooooooooooo! don’t waste ur time like I did creating SEVERAL accounts. guess we have to wait until it’s working. yea and what’s up with the google merger!?

@ Shaun - Google is losing a ton of cash supporting BooTube - they bought it to extend their brand and get into video - new medium I guess.

Maybe this wont work for ALL of you’s but give it a go…vertainly worked for me and like half of you, I was creating accounts but couldnt verify them all because of the wonderful ‘Invalid Parameter’ message…however, I am now able to verify these accounts AND access my first original, And it werent YT fault…in fact for the majority of you, it is actually your IE settings….apologies to those this ont apply…..
    Do this…
On your IE, go to Tools > Internet Options > Privacy > Sites.
There will be a list of sites which are Blocked and/or Allowed…Look
for You Tube…Assuming this is showing Blocked, UNBLOCK….remeber to SAVE/APPLY/OK…Worked for me…I was able to click on the e-mail verification links perfect after and able to access all the other accounts that were half baked….

yeah i have been trying to get an account with youtube for the pass 5 months and i am never able to sign in all of my friends have youtube accounts and had no trouble getting it and this fucking stupid invaild parameters is there anyway to get around it?

This is not a problem with youtube rather a problem with your own antivirus programs. If you are familiar with them you can find some sites to allow full acess and make youtube one of them hope this helps

Hey, everybody. Invalid parameters means that it isn’t a youtube problem. It means your browser isn’t sending what’s needed. This happened to me at first, and then I was able to fix it in Firefox by enabling my cookies. (You can do this by clicking Tools, then Options, Privacy tab, then enable the cookies.) There is a comment above telling you how to do this on IE. But I never use IE anymore. Here’s how on Firefox!
